BTC
The currency code for Bitcoin.
Bullish
A market condition in which the prices are rising.
Bearish
Its opposite is a bearish market, in which the sentiment towards prices is negative.
Derivative
Derivatives are contracts whose values are based on underlying assets, and are determined by the rise and fall of that underlying asset.
Expiration Time
The time at which a contract lapses.
Leverage
The use of borrowed capital for an investment in order to significantly increase the profits that can be made from it. For example, with a leverage ratio of 1:30, a trader can trade a notional amount 30 times greater than his/her available capital (i.e. $30 for each $1).
Margin
In financial markets, margin refers to the required collateral a trader must deposit to hold a trading position in a financial instrument.
Open price
Πhe price at which the contract was opened.
Close price
The price at which the contract was closed.
Volatility
A tendency in a market or financial instrument to fluctuate sharply on a regular basis.
